What's your Elf name?

Hi kids!

In a few days we will celebrate Christmas. I love this Festival: Family, friends, decorations, lights, presents and... Elfs!

Here you are a very fun game that will help you to know your Elf name. Follow the instructions and guess it!

Don't you think that sounds great? ;)

Leonard Cohen and the Spanish guitar.

Hi kids!
One week ago (November 7th) the famous poet, musician and writer Leonard Cohen died.  He was born in Canada. Most of you probably know him for many of his songs, or at least one of them, Hallelujah. I'm sure you have played it on your recorder.
We feel deeply sad.
In 2012 he came to Spain to receive the Asturias Prince prize for literature. This is what Leonard Cohen told that day. It's a beautiful story.
I hope you like it.

8 Reasons to be thankful: you are you.

Hi kids!
We were talking about Thanksgiving Day and why Americans get together to say thanks. I've found this page with interesting information about animals in relation with thanksgiving. Click on the image and  read it. I hope you like it. And remember: you're you!!

Oteiza's chalks laboratory

Jorge Oteiza was a Spanish sculptor. It had been considered as one of the most distinguished exponent of the Basque sculpture school.

Between 1957 and 1974 Jorge Oteiza worked in his chalk's laboratory, an experimental small space to work with small prisms made by plaster.
This work will provide the basis for  much of his much later work.

Welcome to school!

Hi again my dear students!

Time flies and summer holidays are going to the end. I hope you have been enjoying all this time with your families and friends. In a few days l'll see you again at school. This school year will be full of surprises: Arts and Crafts will be included in our bilingual section, there will be a new assistant teacher and more new activities to do together in order to have fun and improve our English.

I hope you are ready for a very interesting course. Please read careful the message from the picture above. I think if we are able to achieve these targets, it could be a good beginning.

I'm looking forward to seeing you again.;)

Enjoy your retirement, Carmen!

Dear students,

Last day this school year was a very emotional day; on the one hand we said goodbye to our six graders. A fantastic group of students with whom I have been working very well.
I wish you the best in your new adventure, High school.

In the other hand, we also said goodbye to a very special teacher: Carmen. Together we spend a lot of good moments. We share work and friendship, so I feel now a little sad because next course I will not have my soulmate working next to me. But it's time for her to have a rest. She really deserves it!

A group of old students wanted to share with her her last day of school. Thanks guys for this nice gesture that sure she will never forget.
