International Day of Peace
The United Nations Department of Public Information has launched a new animated video on the dramatic story of Yusra Mardini, a young refugee from conflict-torn Syria who achieved her dream to compete in the 2016 Olympics. The video is in English with subtitles, and it's very easy to understand. At last once a year, we should think on how lucky we are!!!!

Let there be Peace on Earth
Hi kids!
One year more,We celebrate tomorrow (30th January) Peace Day. Since 1964, to remember the death of Gandhi,January the 30th is the date to celebrate the school day of non violence and peace recognized by UNESCO in 1993.
In this video you can watch beautiful images, listen to a very famous peace song and also read and think about many sentences, most of them already said by different celebrities.
I hope when we work in the English class with it, we can stop just a minute and think carefully about the wrong of violent behaviours.

Malala, the Brave Girl
Hi kids!
Did you know who is Malala Yousafzai?
She´s a 16 years old Pakistani girl, that one day, when she was going to school , she was shot in her head by taliban people. She was operated on an European hospital and now she is fine. She is always fighting for the right to education. She thinks that ' one child, one teacher, one pen and one book can change the world'. Malala was awarded with the last Nobel Peace prize.
What do you think about it?
Are you agree?

We all stand together video and lyrics
Hi there,
Next 30th January we celebrate Peace Day. You can search for more information in the tool bar, but I've chosen this video now because of the title: We all stand together. I think this is very important. Having humanity thinking in that way, a lot of things would change. This video was made from a Paul McCartney(one of the famous Beatles) song and the idea of the frogs singing all together was a perfect combination. In the next post you can read the lyrics.
I hope you like it!

Hold my hand
Hi kids,
Today people around the world celebrate 'Peace Day'. I wanted to choose something special and I've found the last song composed by Michael Jackson. It's a song about feelings, love, friends, family and so on. The most important message is the title:'Hold my hand'(Toma mi mano).I hope all the people have some hand to hold in these difficult times.Watch the video and listen to this beautiful music.
Thanks Michael for this wonderful last song!

The pipes of peace
I LIGHT A CANDLE TO OUR LOVE,
IN LOVE OUR PROBLEMS DISAPPEAR.
BUT ALL IN ALL WE SOON DISCOVER
THAT ONE AND ONE IS ALL WE LONG TO HEAR.

BUT ALL IN ALL WE SOON DISCOVER
THAT ONE AND ONE IS ALL WE LONG TO HEAR.
